I’m Mirella Kleijn, an enthusiastic ecological garden designer with a passion for creating gardens that are not only beautiful but also bring a touch of nature into your outdoor space. A garden with character.
I believe every garden — big or small — can make a difference in contributing to nature in our beautiful world. Whether it’s attracting bees and butterflies, capturing rainwater, or creating a natural oasis where you can fully unwind.
My mission is to design a garden together with you that is not only stunning but truly reflects who you are.
Where does this come from?
For many years, I worked in the business world with my company Micrel, guiding successful entrepreneurs toward the right workflow.
Besides providing hands-on support, I helped entrepreneurs reconnect with the core of their business, reigniting their passion for what they do.
I enjoyed this work for a very long time. But eventually, I started to ask myself where my true passion really lies. I felt the need for change.
As the daughter of a plant grower, I spent my childhood playing and working among flowers and plants. This background kept resurfacing more and more. Over the years, I realized I needed to take a different direction.
My enthusiasm began to come from another place — outdoors, in the garden. The green fingers I inherited as a grower’s daughter came back to life.
I decided to shift my focus and start designing gardens.
I started a training program, gained practical experience, and spent many hours working in various gardens.
In the meantime, I’ve had the pleasure of guiding multiple clients toward garden designs that perfectly match their wishes.
